Residents' meeting for the city centre and south
Invitation: on 16 September, at BSZ Technik I, Park of the Victims of Fascism 1
On Friday, 16 September, from 5 p.m., citizens from the city districts of Chemnitz-Mitte and Chemnitz-Süd are invited to a residents' meeting at the BSZ Technik I (industrial school), Park der Opfer des Faschismus 1. Specifically, the offer is aimed at residents from the city centre, Lutherviertel, Kapellenberg, Bernsdorf and Altchemnitz districts as well as Kappel, Helbersdorf, Morgenleite, Markersdorf and Hutholz.
Lord Mayor Sven Schulze and the four mayors will provide information on current and upcoming projects in the respective districts. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to the mayors at themed tables, ask questions and make suggestions.
Among other things, participants will learn how the sirens and warning systems in the city of Chemnitz work and how well Chemnitz is prepared for heavy rain and flooding. Other topics include the crime statistics in the city centre, the current status of the daycare centres and schools in the Mitte and Süd areas and the new Bernsdorf swimming complex. The development in Chemnitz city centre and the long-distance bus terminal will also be discussed. In addition, the intervention areas for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, such as the Altchemnitz river pool, Schillerpark and public spaces in Morgenleite Park and Vettersstraße, will be discussed.
