Residents' meeting for the Chemnitz North urban area
Date: Friday, 16 May, 5 p.m., Chemnitz-Center Röhrsdorf, Ringstraße 17
Residents' assemblies are a good tradition in Chemnitz: every two years, invitations are issued to inform residents about current developments in the respective city area in a personal dialogue, to answer questions from citizens and at the same time to discuss suggestions and proposals from citizens and incorporate them into the further work of the administration and its specialist departments. Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the City Council are inviting citizens to the residents' meeting for the Chemnitz North area on Friday, 16 May. The venue is the Chemnitz Centre Röhrsdorf, Ringstraße 17, 09247 Chemnitz(attached).
The residents' meeting will begin as usual at 5 pm. Citizens and representatives of the media are once again invited to find out about the wide range of services offered by the offices and facilities of the City of Chemnitz at information stands on site from 4.30 pm.
Part 1 of the agenda for the Chemnitz North residents' meeting for residents of the districts of Furth, Borna-Heinersdorf, Glösa-Draisdorf, Wittgensdorf and Röhrsdorf includes information from the Lord Mayor, the Mayoress and the Mayors on planned plans and projects. Topics include flood protection in the north of Chemnitz, including the conclusions drawn from the events of June last year, the city's noise action plan and clean air plan, as well as the Küchwald stop. As usual, part 2 of the residents' meeting will be open to questions, opinions and suggestions from the public.
The venue in the Chemnitzer-Center Röhrsdorf at Ringstraße 17 is easily accessible by public transport with bus line 21/254 to the Chemnitz-Center stop - for details, see the invitation to the residents' assembly in the appendix.
