Residents' meeting for the Chemnitz city centre-west area
Date: Friday, 25 October, 5 pm, refectory of the Chamber of Crafts, Limbacher Straße 195
Residents' assemblies are a well-established tradition in Chemnitz: every two years, invitations are sent out to provide information on current developments in the respective city area, to answer citizens' questions and at the same time to discuss suggestions and proposals from citizens and incorporate them into the further work of the administration and its specialised departments. Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the Chemnitz City Council are inviting citizens from the Chemnitz West area to the residents' meeting for the Chemnitz Central-West area on Friday, 25 October. The venue is the canteen of the Chamber of Crafts, Limbacher Straße 195 in 09116 Chemnitz.
The residents' meeting will begin as usual at 5 pm. Citizens and representatives of the media are once again invited to find out about the wide range of services offered by the City of Chemnitz offices and facilities at information stands from 4.30 pm onwards.
Part 1 of the agenda for the Chemnitz Mitte-West residents' meeting for residents of the Schloßchemnitz, Kaßberg and Altendorf districts will include information from the Lord Mayor, the Mayoress and the Mayors on planned plans and projects. Topics include the implementation of the cycle path concept in Chemnitz Mitte-West, how to deal with ruined buildings and the green spaces and playgrounds. As usual, part 2 of the residents' meeting will be open to questions, opinions and suggestions from the public.
The canteen of the Chamber of Crafts can be reached by public transport using lines 32 and 72 to the Kalkstraße or Waldenburger Straße stop - for details, see the invitation to the residents' meeting in the appendix.
There is disabled access to the venue and disabled parking spaces are also available. Childcare will be provided free of charge in a room at the Chamber of Crafts.
