Residents' meeting for the Chemnitz city centre-east area

Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the mayors, together with the city council, are inviting residents to the next residents' meeting for the districts of Gablenz and Yorckgebiet on Friday, 14 June at 5 pm. The venue is the Terra Nova Campus - the discovery school, Heinrich-Schütz-Straße 61, 09130 Chemnitz.

From 4.30 p.m., citizens will be able to find out about the wide range of services offered by the offices and facilities of the City of Chemnitz at information stands.
From 5 p.m., they will be able to talk to Mayor Barbara Ludwig, the city's mayors and a representative of the police and others about the respective key topics at various themed tables.

At the table of the Department of Personnel, Finance and Organisation, it will be shown how the money planned in the budget is spent in the city districts.

At the table of the Department of Law, Security and Environmental Protection, you can discuss security and order in the neighbourhoods with a representative of the police and address problems. Questions can also be asked about waste disposal and street cleaning, as a representative of the ASR will also be present.

The Department of Education, Social Affairs, Youth, Culture and Sport will be at the table to present to interested citizens what - and if so, where - there are and will be new developments in daycare centres, schools and sports facilities. What can residents look forward to? What does the free pre-school year mean?

The Department of Urban Development will answer questions about the construction and renovation of playgrounds at another table. The changes to CVAG routes will also be presented.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig will also be answering residents' questions at her own table at the residents' meeting. This table will have the character of a citizens' consultation, where all topics can be raised and discussed with the Lord Mayor.

If required, childcare will be provided free of charge at the Terra Nova Campus. Registration is required by 12 June at the Citizens' Office on 488-1508/-1512/-1516 or by email buergerbuero(at)stadt-chemnitz.de.
