Residents' meeting for the Chemnitz city centre area

Mayor Barbara Ludwig and the City Council are inviting residents to a residents' meeting for the Chemnitz Mitte district on Friday, 7 November. The venue is the auditorium at the Vocational School Centre for Economics I, Lutherstraße 2 in 09126 Chemnitz(Annex).
The residents' meeting will begin as usual at 5 pm. Citizens and representatives of the media are once again invited to visit the information stands from 4.30 p.m. to find out about the wide range of services offered by the offices and facilities of the City of Chemnitz as well as the associations and citizens' initiatives in the city area.
Part 1 of the agenda for the residents' meeting for the city centre, Luther quarter, Kapellenberg, Bernsdorf and Altchemnitz districts includes information from the Lord Mayor and the Mayor about the experiences to date with the alcohol ban in the city centre and the planned rainwater overflow basin in the city centre. The Chemnitz-Mitte citizens' platform will also report on its work. As usual, part 2 of the residents' assembly will be open to questions, opinions and suggestions from the public.
The venue in the Vocational School Centre for Business I is easily accessible by public transport with bus lines 62 and 72 to the Zschopauer Straße stop - for details, see the invitation to the residents' assembly in the appendix. Public parking is available in and around the school grounds. There is disabled access and disabled parking spaces are available. If required, childcare will be provided free of charge in the kindergarten at Lutherstraße 12 - please register in advance with the Citizens' Office by 4 November.
