Repair of the weir at Klaffenbach moated castle
On Monday, 3 August 2020, repair work will begin on the weir system west of the Klaffenbach moated castle. The weir is a so-called tube weir, in which the water is dammed with the help of an air-filled tube.
After the hose has already had to be repaired several times in the past and has now reached the end of its normal service life, it will be removed. The new prefabricated hose will then be installed by Floecksmühle Energietechnik GmbH as a subcontractor.
The work will begin with the installation of a cofferdam in the Würschnitz. The project is expected to be completed and the cofferdam removed by 7 August 2020.
Following a public tender, the company Connect Tief- und Ingenieurbau GmbH Wiesenburg was commissioned to realise the project.
The construction costs amount to approx. 35,000 euros.
