Renovation of Südring ramp as part of the B 174 Zschopauer Straße extension project

From Monday, 12 August, work will be carried out on the exit from Südring to Zschopauer Straße: The renovation work will repair the fundamental damage to the kerbside facilities and the Südring ramp will be restored to the necessary traffic safety standard. The work, which will begin on Monday, should be completed by Sunday, 18 August at the latest.

The time for the necessary construction work has been set by the civil engineering department for the 33rd calendar week due to the lower traffic volume during the holiday periods.

The renovation work is being carried out in coordination with the widening of the B 174 Zschopauer Straße by Strabag AG. The construction costs amount to 36,890 euros. The refurbishment at this point in time guarantees that there will be no more traffic restrictions due to construction work after completion of the current construction phase at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

The city's traffic authority asks you to note that due to the restricted construction space, a full closure of the ramp in the direction of Zschopauer Straße is absolutely necessary in order to ensure the safety of the construction workers working on site. Traffic will therefore be diverted via Bernsdorfer Straße and Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße (using traffic lights).
