Renovation of playground in OdF park
Renovation work on the playground in the OdF park begins tomorrow. The basic structure of the facility will be retained, but the worn-out climbing facilities will be replaced with new ones. Construction will take around six days. The playground has been closed for preparatory work since yesterday.
According to the City of Chemnitz's playground concept, the city centre playground Park der OdF is to be permanently preserved. After almost 20 years of use, major repair and replacement measures are now necessary.
The playground will be renovated by the company Kompan GmbH - Corocord - and completed by the end of the year. The total costs amount to approx. 98,000 euros.
