Renovation of Josephinenstrasse between Wilhelm-Külz-Platz and Ottostrasse completed
Construction work is being completed today on the ground-breaking extension of Josephinenstrasse between Wilhelm-Külz-Platz and Ottostrasse. The extension section has a length of approx. 210 metres and is located in the redevelopment area 2 Brühl-Nord. As part of the construction work, the old paving was replaced and the pavements on both sides were fundamentally upgraded. The pavements were fitted with footpath projections to improve road safety, particularly in terms of school route safety.
In the course of realising the construction project, the road space was also redistributed: Both parallel and perpendicular parking spaces were created, increasing the number of residents' parking spaces by nine to 70.
In addition, necessary renovations were carried out to the supply systems of eins energie, the waste disposal company and Telekom.
The construction costs for the project totalled around 200,000 euros. The company Gunter Hüttner & Co. GmbH from Chemnitz was commissioned to carry out the construction work.
