Renewal of Rembrandtstrasse between Zschopauer Strasse and Zieschestrasse

Street lights in the first construction phase are being replaced

As part of the renovation of Rembrandtstrasse between Zschopauer Strasse and Zieschestrasse, five street lights will be replaced in the first construction phase (Zschopauer Strasse to the Rembrandtstrasse 13-15 access road). For this reason, they will be taken out of service from tonight. This means that the footpath in this area will probably not be lit at night until 15 August.

Renewal of Rembrandtstrasse between Zschopauer Strasse and Zieschestrasse
315 metres of Rembrandtstraße between Zschopauer Straße and Zieschestraße will be resurfaced. The coordinated construction work is being carried out in consultation with the utility company eins and the ESC, which are renewing the drinking water pipeline and the combined sewer in the area.

The upgrade will be carried out in two sections. The first construction phase, which runs between Zschopauer Straße and the Rembrandtstraße 13-15 access road, began in May 2018 due to the urgency of the project. It is expected to be completed by 15 August. The second section will then be built by the end of November 2018.

The costs amount to approx. 486,000 euros.
