Removal of road damage on Neefestraße
Construction measures from 17 to 31 October 2021
On Sunday, 17 October, construction work will begin to repair road damage on Neefestraße, landward between the Stelzendorfer Straße bridge and the bridge over the cycle path.
The construction area extends from the Südring junction to the exit into Neefepark over a length of approx. 350 metres on the two-lane landward carriageway: over a length of approx. 260 metres, the asphalt surface and asphalt binder courses will be completely replaced and the asphalt base course partially replaced. Minor repair work - such as crack repair, joint repair and adjustment of manhole covers - will be carried out on a section of approx. 90 metres.
In addition, a noise-optimised asphalt surface course will be laid to reduce noise emissions. The road drainage systems will also be repaired.
During the construction work, traffic will be routed across one lane on the city-bound carriageway, for which purpose two temporary crossings will be constructed. This means that only one lane will be available in each direction.
As tailbacks are to be expected, alternative routes are recommended, e.g. via Zwickauer Straße and Stollberger Straße. The Chemnitz-Rottluff junction should be used to join and leave the A 72 motorway.
