Remodelling of Reitbahnstraße between Moritzstraße and Annenstraße completed
The construction work for the remodelling of Reitbahnstraße between Moritzstraße and Annenstraße was completed at the end of this week.
The construction work to further enhance the Reitbahn district began on 15 March 2021 and involved renewing the pavement in this section, i.e. replacing the existing paving with a slab surface. In addition, ten accessible tree beds were newly arranged along the south-western edge of the carriageway. These will be planted with English oaks in autumn 2021. Eight bicycle racks were also installed in this area.
The cost of the construction work is around 200,000 euros, of which around 100,000 euros is urban development funding.
The work was carried out by Asphalt-Bau Chemnitz ABC Tief- & Straßenbau GmbH from Bernsdorf.
