Relocation of the Social Services Department Migration, Integration, Housing from 20 May
New location from 26 May in the Alte Post building, Bahnhofstr. 54 a
The management of the Social Welfare Office, the Migration Officer and the Migration, Integration, Housing Department with the areas of:
- Accommodation, housing placement, housing authorisation certificate
- Social care
- Services for asylum seekers
- Social integration, assistance for the homeless
currently based in the Technical Town Hall, Annaberger Straße 93, are moving as previously announced (PM 93 dated 26 February 2016).
For this reason, all these areas will have to be closed from 20 to 25 May 2016. An emergency service is guaranteed. The service number 115 is available for queries.
From 26 May 2016, services will be provided at the new location in the Alte Post building, Bahnhofstr. 54 a. The new premises have an area of 1,288 square metres. In addition, approx. 150 square metres are available for the waiting area in the adjacent building An der alten Post 1 - 2.
In addition to the significant improvement in the working and waiting situation, a major advantage of this solution is that the Citizens' Registration Office, in particular the Foreigners' Registration Office, the Youth and Family Office and the Health Department are all within walking distance.
