Relief for companies and freelancers

City of Chemnitz continues to allow deferral of trade tax

The City of Chemnitz would once again like to point out that companies and freelancers have the opportunity to apply for deferral of trade tax due to the coronavirus pandemic. An application can also be made to reduce the advance payment. In this way, the City of Chemnitz wants to do everything in its power to relieve the burden on entrepreneurs.

The following measures are necessary for this:

  • Check that the fixed advance payments for trade tax for 2021 are up to date
  • If necessary, apply to the relevant tax office for an adjustment of the current advance payments
  • Send an informative copy of the application to the City of Chemnitz Tax and Revenue Office by email to a21(at)stadt-chemnitz.de or by post to Bahnhofstraße 53, 09111 Chemnitz
  • Tax claims that are due can be deferred; to do this, you must contact the responsible trade tax officer immediately(form to download from the City of Chemnitz service portal):
