Regional competition Jugend musiziert - Prizewinners' concert
Invitation for Sunday, 9 March, 4 pm, St. Jakobikirche Chemnitz
The prizewinners' concert with young musicians who successfully took part in the 23rd regional Jugend musiziert competition in Chemnitz, Flöha and Stollberg and are among the prizewinners and thus nominees for the Saxony state competition will take place on Sunday, 9 March at 4 pm in St. Jakobikirche in Chemnitz. Music lovers are cordially invited - admission to the concert is free.
45 music students are involved in the artistic-musical design of the extensive concert programme - here are the young soloists and ensembles in the order of their concert appearance:
Brass ensemble (AG II)Ruben Arnold (trumpet), Jeremia Zeschke (trumpet), Alexander Schneider (horn) and Bruno Hammer (trombone) - with "Bransle de Bourgogne" by Claude Gervaise.
Accordion duo (AG II) Yannick Reuter and Erik Erler - with "Marionettes", "Water Lily" and "Intercity Train" by Daniel Hellbach.
Violin Duo (AG II) Theresa Melzer and Lucie Bartholomäi - with "Necklied, Reigen, Mückentanz, Spottlied" (from 44 Duos) by Béla Bartók.
Elisabeth Zschocke (voice, AG II) and Charlotte Müller (piano, AG II) - with "Der Tintenfisch August" by Jürgen Wilbrandt.
Cello Duo (AG Ia) Matthias Wagner and Jette Mathilde Schmidt - with "Hilfe, der Hausgeist!" by Christine Lohr.
Annegret Neumann (piano, AG III) - with the 1st movement from "Italian Concerto" by J.S. Bach.
Cordula Vogel (voice, AG VI) and Jenny Mehlhorn-Taubner (piano, accompaniment) - with "Le Colibri" by Ernest Chausson.
Lina Werner (vocals, AG VI) and Gabriele Ratzmann (piano, accompaniment) - with "Er ist's" by Hugo Wolf.
Woodwind ensemble (AG IV) with Isabell Neumann (oboe), Marlene Peter (oboe) and Marie Meinhold (cor anglais) - with Allegro Molto by Joseph Triebensee.
String Quartet (AG IV) Lasse Anders (violin), Simon Winkler (violin), Caroline Zaunick (viola) and Helene Winkler (cello) - with String Quartet No. 8 op. 110, Allegro Molto by Dimitri Shostakovich.
Ben Lepetit (piano, AG Ia) - with "Fleeting Visions" by Sergei Prokofiev.
Cello Quintet (AG IV) Clara Scheibe, Clara Dietze, Alexander Zaunick, Jonathan Fröhlich and Kyrill Kuhnert - with "Prompt" by Rainer Lischka.
Jonas Otte (piano, AG III) - with "Des Abends" and "Aufschwung" from Fantasiestücke op. 12 by Robert Schumann.
Olivia Mann (accordion, AG V) and Johanna Mann (flute, AG V) - with Klezmer Suite No. 3 by Gottfried Hummel.
Recorder trio (AG V) Judith Bartel, Henriette Krein and Josephine Hofmann - with "Articulator IV" by Agnes Dorwath.
Accordion duo (AG VI) Anna-Katharina Schau and Anika Cyrnik - with "Caricias" by Sebastian Klein.
Quoc Duong Bui (piano, AG VI) - with the 3rd movement from the Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, 3rd movement by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Brass ensemble (AG IV) Donath Rehm (tuba), Bendiks Rehm (euphonium), Albrecht Reiland (trumpet), Amadeus Moch (trumpet) and Karl Schwalbe (horn) - with "Cinq pour Cinq" by Klaus-Peter Bruchmann.
Nadja Peschel (vocals, AG V) and Merlind William (piano, accompaniment) - with "I'm a person too" by Leonard Bernstein.
Jakob Kuhn (drums, AG Ib) - with "Disco I" by Libor Kubanjek.
