Refurbishment of the bus stops Thomas-Mann-Platz/Sachsen-Allee
Traffic restriction on site to one lane at a time from 16 July
The two stops Thomas-Mann-Platz / Sachsen-Allee on August-Bebel-Straße are being renovated. Construction will begin on Tuesday, 16 July. The work is due to be completed by 23 August 2013 and both stops will be made barrier-free. To this end, the kerbs and the pavement surface in the bus stop area will be renewed. In the direction of Hilbersdorfer Straße, the carriageway surface will also be milled off and renewed.
Faber Bau GmbH has been commissioned to carry out the work. The contract is worth € 145,000.
Information from the traffic authority: To carry out the construction work, traffic on August-Bebel-Straße must be restricted to one lane at a time. Road users are asked to note and understand that the right-hand lane in both directions will be closed off for the construction work.
Pedestrians should use the emergency footpaths behind the bus stops.
In connection with the construction work on August-Bebel-Straße from 16 July to 23 August 2013, the traffic authority would also like to draw your attention to the following information:
From Saturday, 3 August until Tuesday, 13 August, drivers travelling towards the city on Dresdner Straße who wish to turn right into August-Bebel-Straße will be diverted via Thomas-Mann-Platz. This means that there will no longer be any restrictions for drivers travelling in a landward direction on August-Bebel-Straße.
