Recreational ornithologist reports on birds of prey and owls in the Chemnitz region
The next lecture in the monthly events programme of the volunteer nature conservation service is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 March at 5 p.m. in the citizens' room of the Chemnitz nature conservation station (Adelsbergstraße 192): The lecture "Birds of prey and owls in the Chemnitz region" by Dieter Kronbach, ornithologist from Limbach-Oberfrohna, will be repeated due to great interest. At his first lecture evening a year ago, the number of visitors exceeded the capacity of the event room.
In his lecture, the speaker will use the attractive bird group of birds of prey and owls as an example to report in words and pictures on the results of his 35 years of leisure research as an observer, mapper and ringing expert. He will also be able to report, for example, on observations of the breeding of sometimes rare species, even in densely populated areas, and in this context also on shrinking habitats for birds of prey and owls, the frequency and the protection and aid measures for the birds.
Nature conservation helpers and all other citizens interested in the topic are cordially invited to the event - participation is free of charge.
