Reception organised by the City of Chemnitz on the occasion of the German Road Cycling Championships

After the start of the German Road Cycling Championships tomorrow, Friday 23 June, Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig will host a reception for the City of Chemnitz in the town hall. The event starts at 8.30 pm. Officials from the German Cycling Federation (BDR), the city's cycling clubs, members of the Olympic Training Centre, the Chemnitz City Sports Association and others have been invited.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event. Please note that there may be a delayed start due to the award ceremonies on Hartmannplatz.
After the welcoming address by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Rudolph Scharping, President of the BDR, will deliver a welcome address. This will be followed by a moderated discussion with Thomas Weise, Head of the Olympic Training Centre, Patrick Moster, Director of Competitive Sports at the BDR, Roland Kaiser and Thomas Lippold from the German Championships organisation team and Melanie Wotsch, participant in the German Championships.
After the award ceremony, some of the athletes are expected in the town hall.
The event is scheduled to end at 10.30 pm.
