"Really fair!" Exhibition on violence prevention in Chemnitz
Press invitation to the exhibition opening on 5 September, 4 pm Registration of school classes now possible
On Thursday, 5 September at 4 pm, the Frauenhilfe Chemnitz e.V. and the Crime Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz invite you to the opening of the exhibition "ECHT FAIR!" at Kraftwerk e.V., Kaßbergstraße 36, 09112 Chemnitz.
Media representatives will be offered a tour of the exhibition.
"ECHT FAIR!" is an interactive exhibition on violence prevention and is aimed at children and young people from Year 5 to Year 8. The numerous learning stations provide playful training on how children and young people can recognise and prevent violence and get help.
Children are considered silent witnesses who are often forgotten in the context of domestic violence, but who usually suffer greatly. It is therefore important to sensitise them to violence and give them space to talk about their own experiences. "ECHT FAIR!" is intended to contribute to respectful coexistence by enabling pupils to deal with violence in their environment. The six stations "Violent", "Contentious", "With feeling", "Me and you", "Help" and "Right" invite children and young people to explore the topic independently.
"ECHT FAIR!" was developed by BIG e.V., the Berlin initiative against violence against women. Frauenhilfe Chemnitz e.V. is organising this prevention measure in cooperation with the Crime Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz.
The exhibition will be on display in Chemnitz from 6 to 11 September 2019.

All other interested parties can view the exhibition on Wednesday, 11 September, during the opening hours of Kraftwerk e.V. from 12 noon to 6 pm. Admission is free.
