Real estate cadastre of the city of Chemnitz is being converted to the standardised national ALKIS system
The Chemnitz Municipal Surveying Office, as the lower surveying authority, is now switching to the standardised nationwide Official Real Estate Cadastre Information System (ALKIS) and the standardised nationwide coordinate reference system ETRS89_UTM33.
ALKIS merges the data from the previous procedures of the real estate map (ALK ground plan and point file) and the real estate register (ALKIS/1) into a common object-structured database.
The changeover in the city of Chemnitz will begin in mid-March 2015 and the new system is scheduled to go live at the end of May 2015.
During the changeover period, it will not be possible to continue the real estate cadastre. The results of cadastral surveys and markings cannot be transferred. This may result in restrictions in property transactions.
Extracts and information from the real estate cadastre are possible without restriction.

After the introduction of ALKIS, the data submissions in the EDBS point, EDBS ground plan, ALB and ALKIS/1 interfaces can continue to be made available in the old and new coordinate reference system until the end of 2016 via a limited reverse migration.
