Reading room in the city archive closed for a month
The reading room of the main building of the City Archive (Aue 16) will be closed from 1 to 31 August inclusive. The reason for this is a large file transfer from the offices of the City of Chemnitz that cannot be postponed.
Appointments that have already been made will be honoured. Proven file inspections that cannot be postponed by law will also be possible.
During this period, delays are also to be expected in processing requests both in the main building (Aue 16) and in the branch office (Reichstraße 1a) of the City Archive.
