On Monday and Tuesday, 3 and 4 July, the "Mobile for Tolerance" with the well-known children's book author Alice Pantermüller will be visiting four primary schools in Chemnitz. She will be reading from her book "Lillemi und Wolf. Little Fairy with a Big Heart" (Arena Verlag) and then enter into dialogue with the young listeners.

This special encounter is made possible by the "Mobile for Tolerance" project, which is funded by the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz (LAP) and initiated by the Chemnitz City Library Supporters' Association.

This is the fifth time that Chemnitz City Library has gone mobile, taking the library and an author to schools outside the city library's catchment area.

Alice Pantermüller's story is about the little forest fairy Lillemi, where all animals are always welcome, no matter how big or small, quiet or lively they are. When a wolf knocks on her door one day, Lillemi is determined to welcome him too and take him in. However, all the other guests are less than enthusiastic and leave Lillemi's little house in a flash. A story about fear of the unknown and prejudice, but also about tolerance and friendship.

After the reading, the children can share their own experiences on the topic and exchange ideas with the author in a discussion round.
