Rats in the city centre area "Am Wall"
Information from the Parks Department on dealing with food waste
Due to increased reports from citizens about the presence of rats in the city centre area "Am Wall", a specialist company has now been commissioned to combat the rats.
In this context, the City of Chemnitz Parks Department would like to expressly point out the following:
- Visitors to this green space are requested to dispose of their food waste exclusively in the waste bins provided for this purpose.
- According to police regulations, there is a ban on feeding pigeons in the entire city area. Leftover dry bread or grains are also a favourite food for rats.
