Rare events in Chemnitz city centre decided for the 2013 event season

The Advisory Board for Rare Events, consisting of the administration, city councillors and CWE, agreed on the city centre events for the 2013 season at its meeting today. These event dates were decided by the advisory board as rare events for 2013:

1st German Music Festival
(09.05.2013, 10 am - midnight; 10.05.2013, 10 am - midnight; 11.05.2013, 10 am - midnight; 12.05.2013, 10 am - 8 pm; city centre)

2nd brewery festival in the city centre

(17.05.2013, 6 pm - 10 pm; 18.05.2013, 12 pm - midnight; 19.05.2013, 12 pm - midnight, Neumarkt)

3rd Classics under the stars
(15/06/2013, 6:30 pm - midnight, market)

4. concerts as part of the film nights on the theatre square
(3 times in the period 27.06.-25.08.2013, an additional concert event can take place on 17.08.2013*)

**Note: The date of the Chemnitz Fashion Nights was subsequently changed and will not take place from 20-21 September 2013 as originally planned.

* As a "rare event" is planned on 17 August 2013 on Neumarkt with "Chemnitz swings", a concert event can be held on Theaterplatz at the same time.
