Rapper Chaoze One presents his book at adult education centre

Reading on 26 October, 3 pm at TIETZ, stage on the ground floor

On Saturday 26 October from 3 to 4.30 pm, rapper Chaoze One will be presenting his book "Spielverderber - Mein Leben zwischen Rap & Antifa" in Chemnitz. He will be reading from his book on the stage on the ground floor of the TIETZ and will be available to talk to the audience afterwards. Admission is free.

In the book, Chaoze One describes his childhood and youth, his path to fame as one of the first rappers in Germany. The book tells anecdotes from his political and artistic life and explains the background to his music. Chaoze One describes his view of society - from encounters at performances and from his perception of grievances.

A rapper as a book author - unusual, but in Chaoze One's case feasible. The Mannheim rapper comes from a middle-class background and works professionally as a speech therapist. He has been performing on stage for 20 years and takes a political and socially critical stance in his lyrics - for example on asylum policy, sexism and right-wing extremism. He is personally involved in a project in Uganda.

This event is a co-operation between the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
