Pylonenwald play and leisure centre completed

Press event: 1 June, 12.30 pm, at Theresenstraße

On Children's Day, 1 June at 12.30 pm, Mayor Michael Stötzer will reopen the renovated pylon forest on Theresenstraße together with pupils from Agricola-Gymnasium.

Media representatives are invited to attend.

The pylon forest1) is a climbing facility made of ropes that are stretched across the site like a net.

The popular play area from the 2000s was in need of renovation after almost 20 years of intensive use. The entire net construction has now been replaced.

With the additional funds of 100,000 euros provided by the city council in 2020, the facility was completely renovated over the winter of 2020/21 and is now once again available for play and sport.

1) A pylon is a portal-like part of suspension bridges or similar that supports the cables at the highest points.
