Punctual easing of the traffic situation in the Zwickauer Straße area
The major construction sites coordinated between CVAG, ESC and the city of Chemnitz in the area of the track crossings on Zwickauer Straße will be completed in time for the end of the holidays.
This afternoon, the full closure of the Reichsstraße crossing over Zwickauer Straße will be lifted. This means that the Zwickauer Straße/Reichsstraße junction is once again open to traffic in all directions.
At the beginning of next week, traffic will also be allowed to pass through the Kappler Drehe area. Final work still needs to be carried out on the traffic lights and signage here, so that the Zwickauer Straße/Kappler Drehe track crossing is also expected to be open again from Tuesday, 22 August.

The punctual completion of these civil engineering measures (rail, gas, sewage and road repairs), taking into account the heavy rainfall in recent weeks, was only possible thanks to the great commitment of everyone involved."
