Adult education centre: Lecture on 10 April, 10.15 a.m., TIETZ, course room 4.62

On Wednesday, 10 April 2024, from 10.15 to 11.45 a.m., the Sozialverband VdK Sachsen e. V., the Verkehrsverbund Mittelsachsen (VMS) and the Volkshochschule Chemnitz invite interested parties to a lecture on the project "ÖPNV für alle ein" in the TIETZ, course room 4.62.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is possible by telephone on 0371 488-4343 or online at www.vhs-chemnitz.de/kurs/S2419025.

The event entitled "Mobile with public transport: easily accessible and barrier-free" is aimed at people who want to find out more about low-barrier and easy access to public transport. The "Public transport for all" project aims to inform people with reduced mobility and senior citizens about the options for public transport and to provide advice and assistance with practical questions.

At the event, speaker Michael Thriemer, project manager at VdK Sachsen e. V., will shed light on the following questions, among others: How can route maps be read? How do I get a ticket? What do mobility apps and digital information offer? And where can I find barrier-free access to local public transport? In addition, participants can address individual experiences and concerns.

Around 25 per cent of people in Germany are unable to use their own vehicle and are therefore less mobile. It is important for them to find their way around when using public transport.
