Announcement of the final election results of the mayoral election in Chemnitz on 16 June 2013 and announcement of the approved nominations for the mayoral election in Chemnitz on 30 June 2013
At the public meeting of the City Election Committee chaired by City Treasurer Berthold Brehm in his capacity as City Election Officer yesterday evening at Chemnitz City Hall, the final election results of the Lord Mayor election of 16 June 2013 were determined and announced as follows in accordance with Section 51 (2) of the Local Election Code in conjunction with Section 50 (4) of the Local Election Code:

As none of the nominations received more than half of the valid votes cast, the City Election Committee has determined that a new election is necessary in accordance with Section 48 (2) SächsGemO. The new election will be held on 30 June 2013.

At its public meeting yesterday, the City Election Committee for the election of the Lord Mayor of the City of Chemnitz (electoral area) decided to approve the following nominations for the election of the Lord Mayor on 30 June 2013 in the order specified in Section 20 (6) of the Local Election Code:
