Public information event on the expansion of Zschopauer Straße (B 174) in the Südring to Bergfrieden section

The four-lane expansion of Zschopauer Straße in the Südring to Bergfrieden section will begin in August 2012, and in preparation for this complex construction project, the City of Chemnitz is inviting citizens to an information event with Construction Mayor Petra Wesseler and Civil Engineering Office Manager Bernd Gregorzyk.
The event will take place on Friday, 17 August 2012 at 5 pm in the building of IPROPLAN Planungsgesellschaft mbH, Bernhardstraße 68 in 09126 Chemnitz.
Residents and those directly affected by the construction work in particular will be informed about the scope of the construction work, the planned construction schedule and the associated traffic routing. Afterwards, representatives of the client and the planning office will be available to answer questions.
The expansion of Zschopauer Straße in this section will complete the four-lane expansion of the B174 from the Südring to the already expanded section. In addition to the road construction, all media installations and active noise protection through the erection of noise barriers will be carried out over a length of around 900 metres.
