Public holiday: Children's festival at Chemnitz Zoo
Chemnitz Zoo is once again hosting its traditional children's festival on October Bank Holiday this year: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 October 2012 in the area on Nevoigtstraße, there will be all kinds of additional surprises and lots of hands-on activities for girls and boys - and of course for their adult companions too. And apart from the extra festivities: the young animals born at Chemnitz Zoo in spring 2012 have of course grown a lot in the meantime - and are looking forward to many curious visitors. A visit to the young animals and all the other 1,000 or so animals at Chemnitz Zoo is always worthwhile, and of course also at the children's festival.
At the children's festival, visitors are invited to take part in the hourly milking competition and - something for the brave! - bullriding. Of course, the giant slide and face painting also promise a lot of fun, and there's plenty of fun for participants in the big children's hands-on programme by and with Kuno's Kinderkiste as well as sports and games. There will also be good entertainment for young and old with dancing, shows and lots of information in the colourful programme on the Radio Chemnitz stage. A model railway layout will also be set up on site and, of course, visitors will also be invited to take part in the traditional zoo quiz. Food and drink will of course also be provided.
The children's festival at the zoo is once again supported by the Friends of Chemnitz Zoo Association. Various Chemnitz associations such as Kraftwerk e.V., Tanzclub Orchidee and Tanzshow Passion Life, ISB Sporthort e.V. and Basketballverband Sachsen e.V. are involved in organising the festival.
