Public auction of found bicycles
Now available online at customs auction - duration until 19 September 2021
First, second and third: As part of European Mobility Week, the City of Chemnitz lost property office is once again auctioning off various bicycles whose storage period has expired and for which no ownership claims have been asserted. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the digital route via the customs auction has once again been chosen.
These include three e-bikes, 22 mountain bikes, nine trekking bikes, seven city bikes, four cross bikes, a BMX, a touring bike, two children's bikes and a city scooter.
Interested parties can find the bikes at www.zoll-auktion.de under the heading "Bikes & Accessories". Users can easily view the found bikes and try their luck at bidding if required. The items on offer can only be viewed via the above Internet address; it is not possible to view the items in person during the entire auction.
Bidders cannot expect new items. The bicycles are described in detail, defects are explicitly pointed out and informative photos are included. In many cases, minor or major repairs are necessary.
Please note that items can only be auctioned if you have previously registered with Zoll-Auktion. (Via the Register button in the top right-hand corner.) After successful registration, it is possible to take part in the auction. The internet platform also offers the option of placing items on a watch list so that you do not miss out on how high the desired item is being traded and how many other bidders are already interested in it.
The auctions end on 19 September 2021 between 6 and 7 pm.
As always with lost property auctions, the following applies: items are auctioned as seen (in photos), no guarantee is given and exchanges are not possible.
Auctioned bicycles can only be collected by appointment. The municipal lost property office will contact the highest bidder after the end of the auction. The bikes will be handed over at an appropriate time and the amount will be paid on site in cash or by EC card.
If you have any questions about the auctions, please contact the municipal lost property office on 0371 488 3388 or by dialling 115.
