Pruning and tree felling
Two recent expert reports revealed that several trees require action. In addition, ongoing tree inspections have revealed damage to other trees that require urgent action.
The necessary felling and pruning measures, as shown in the attached appendix, will be carried out in June.
Without exception, all of the work to be carried out is urgent and serves to maintain or establish road safety.
All tree maintenance measures within the meaning of the duty to maintain road safety are legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under §39 BNatSchG or §25 SächsNatSchg.
Wherever space permits, the Parks Department will arrange for replanting.
