Pruning along Leipziger Straße
From next week, shrubs and trees will be pruned along Leipziger Straße in the area from Friedrich-Schlöffel-Straße to the A4 motorway.
The measures are urgently needed to preserve and maintain the value of the area. The trees and shrubs located there will be professionally pruned on a large scale by employees of an appropriate company. The plants will sprout again in spring.
All of the upcoming work is, without exception, urgent measures that are carried out outside the breeding and setting season specified in Section 39 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG). They are therefore legally permissible and do not constitute an offence under the BNatSchG or the SächsNatSchG.
In order to do justice to the upcoming breeding and setting season despite everything, the measure will only be carried out proportionally on the area. This will leave sufficient biological retreat habitats for the breeding period of the native bird population.
