Property in the Rottluff-West industrial estate is sold
New location for Chemnitz automation technology company
At its meeting yesterday, the city council decided to sell a plot of land in the Rottluff-West industrial estate on Kalkstraße. Accordingly, the City of Chemnitz is selling two sections of plot 236/10 in the Rottluff district to Gesellschaft für Prozeßrechnerprogrammierung mbH (GPP Chemnitz mbH).
The first sub-area covers approx. 9,000 square metres, the second sub-area approx. 5,025 square metres. The purchase price is 35 euros per square metre, i.e. 315,000 euros for the first and 175,875 euros for the second part of the site.
GPP Chemnitz mbH will construct modern production buildings with around 1,840 square metres of floor space and an architecturally appealing office wing with around 900 square metres of floor space on the first plot. Construction is scheduled to begin this year in consultation with the civil engineering department, which is currently coordinating the construction of the access road to the industrial estate. The acquisition of the second sub-area for the expansion of the commercial site is to take place no later than three years after completion of the building on the first sub-area.
GPP Chemnitz mbH, founded in Chemnitz in 1990, is a company in the automation technology sector with its current headquarters in the Wirkbau business park. With the investment, the company undertakes to create at least five additional full-time jobs at the new site by 31 December 2019 in addition to the existing 26 full-time employees and to fill them for at least five years.
