Prominent musicians at the DA CAPO music café in April

This time, host Nancy Gibson welcomes Jeffrey Goldberg (piano) and David Rothenberg (clarinet)

The April edition of the monthly music café "DA CAPO - Music for Seniors" will take place on Thursday, 3 April at 3 pm in the large hall of the Kraftwerk socio-cultural centre at Kaßbergstraße 36. This time, host Nancy Gibson has invited prominent musicians Jeffrey Goldberg (piano) and David Rothenberg (clarinet).

Pianist Dr Jeffrey Goldberg has been a member of the Chemnitz Opera ensemble(www.theater-chemnitz.de) as a solo repetiteur since the start of the 2009/2010 season, having held various theatre positions in his native USA and Germany, and also performs as a concert pianist, regularly devoting himself to new music and composing himself. Jeffrey Goldberg has already performed in concert with the prominent US clarinettist David Rothenberg, who has also gained international acclaim as a jazz musician, environmental philosopher, composer and author ("Warum Vögel singen") - now both musicians are guests at the Chemnitz Music Café: Both musicians will introduce themselves here with music, of course, and as usual in conversation with DA CAPO host Nancy Gibson.

Visitors to the music café can therefore expect an exciting and entertaining afternoon with coffee and cake. The organisers are once again looking forward to welcoming numerous music lovers. Concert guests who are dependent on a wheelchair should use the signposted side entrance. Admission to the music café is 5 euros per person (including coffee and cake).
