Programme for the Intercultural Weeks 2023 is presented
Press conference: 31 August, 10.30 a.m. Room 118, Town Hall - Series of events starts on 9 September
On Thursday, 31 August at 10.30 a.m., representatives of the media are invited to a press conference at City Hall, Room 118. Etelka Kobuß, Migration Officer of the City of Chemnitz, and representatives of various associations and institutions will present the programme of the Intercultural Weeks. This year, they will take place from 9 to 24 September.
On Saturday, 9 September at 12 noon, the Intercultural Weeks will be opened on the market square by Mayor Ralph Burghart under the motto "WE are Chemnitz". At a festival of cultures, spread over eight themed areas, guests will experience a colourful programme on the subject of immigration and integration.
In the two weeks that follow, clubs, associations, institutions and organisations invite everyone in Chemnitz to find out more about the topics of migration, integration and asylum and to take advantage of offers for tolerant and peaceful coexistence: Theatre performances, film screenings, dance classes and concerts, country evenings, sporting events, readings and discussions with authors, lectures and information events on various topics as well as interfaith exchanges are planned.
