Priority controls of stationary traffic on the Kaßberg

Due to various complaints from citizens and information from the public, the traffic monitoring department of the City of Chemnitz's public order office is planning to carry out priority checks on stationary traffic on Kaßberg. The first priority check is planned for Thursday, 30 May. Further dates will take place in the following months.

During the early shift, the routes to school will be prioritised, particularly at the following facilities:

  • Pablo Neruda Primary School (Hoffmannstraße 35)
  • Gebrüder-Grimm-Grundschule (Heinrich-Beck-Straße 2)
  • Weststraße primary school (Weststraße 19)
  • Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff-Gymnasium (Hohe Straße 25/35)
  • Friedrich-Fröbel-School (Reichsstraße 45)
  • Dr Wilhelm André Grammar School (Henriettenstraße 35)

During the late shift, compliance with traffic regulations is checked as a general preventative measure:

  • Observance of designated fire service access routes
  • Ensuring crossing areas and lane boundaries to avoid obstructions for moving traffic
  • Keeping pavements and pedestrian routes/crossing points clear
  • Ensuring parking spaces for the disabled
  • Protection of green strips and tree discs
