Primary schools in Harthau and Klaffenbach will remain closed on Monday
The primary schools in Harthau and Klaffenbach will remain closed on Monday due to the flood situation.
For Harthau primary school pupils whose parents are unable to secure alternative care, emergency care will be provided in the "La Rustica" pub. Emergency childcare for the Klaffenbach primary school will be provided in the gymnasium in Adorfer Straße.
The schools will also inform parents directly.
Based on the current weather forecasts, it is currently assumed that all other schools will be available tomorrow. Parents are asked by the Saxon Education Agency Chemnitz to enquire directly at the school on Monday morning if they are unsure.
The Erzgebirgsbahn will not be running on the following routes tomorrow: Chemnitz - Aue, Chemnitz - Annaberg/Cranzahl, Chemnitz - Olbernhau/Marienberg and Zwickau - Johanngeorgenstadt. CVAG is trying to secure the inner-city scheduled services. However, tram lines 5, 6 and 522 are not running.
