More Stolpersteine will be laid in Chemnitz in the presence of Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig. The city administration is continuing the memorial project this year, which has seen 82 Stolpersteine laid in Chemnitz since 2007 (PM 490 from 3 September 2014).

Mayor Petra Wesseler and Volkmar Gerlach, CEO of Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Chemnitz West eG (WCW), open the company's exhibition on the "An der Aue" construction project, supported by the city planning office.

The 5th Days of Industrial Culture will take place in Chemnitz from 12 to 14 September.

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives a welcome address at the Chemnitz Chamber of Crafts' festive event to honour the apprentices.
Time and place: 10 a.m., Volksbank Chemnitz eG, Innere Klosterstraße 15.
On the German Sports Badge Action Day, the sports badge and the children's sports badge can be taken at the Sportforum. The Chemnitz City Sports Association is also looking for the sportiest family with the "SSBC - Generation Jump".
Time and place: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sportforum, multi-purpose athletics hall and indoor swimming pool.
Under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig, the new format "Star Dance Chemnitz" premieres in the Chemnitz City Hall. City Treasurer Berthold Brehm is one of the prominent participants.

Open Monument Day 2014: This year, the nationwide Monument Day will take place under the theme of "Colour", as set by the German Foundation for Monument Protection. In Chemnitz, the Heritage Day will be held at the same time as the "Industrial Worlds" in the programme of the Days of Industrial Heritage. The focus of the prepared programme is the Industrial School / Vocational School Centre for Technology I (PM 489 from 03.09.2014).
