Numerous shows and brand presentations will take place on several stages and catwalks at the Chemnitz Fashion Nights.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives a speech to mark the 150th anniversary of Chemnitz's professional fire brigade. Meritorious firefighters will be honoured. Other guests at the event include Saxony's Minister of the Interior Markus Ulbig, Hartmut Ziebs, President of the German Fire Brigade Association, and the President of the Federal Agency of the THW, Albrecht Broemme.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the parade to mark the 150th anniversary of Chemnitz's professional fire brigade. A parade of fire service vehicles from all eras will roll from Sachsen Allee via August-Bebel-Straße and Straße der Nationen to the market square. A technical show awaits visitors there.

The Chemnitz Fashion Nights take place.

To mark the opening of the season, the drama and puppet theatre ensemble open the doors to the opening festival with children's party and gala.

The ballet revue "Lampenfieber - It's Showtime" by Sabrina Sadowska has its premiere. It features music by Charlie Chaplin, Peter Kreuder, Benny Goodman, Django Reinhardt, Walter Donaldson, Ray Henderson, Gerardo Matos Rodriguez, Leonard Bernstein and others.

The 39th reservoir run takes place.

Open Monument Day is celebrated throughout Germany. Under the motto "Preserving monuments together", Chemnitz offers insights into the Municipal Music School, Signal Box II and III, guided tours of the Zeisigwald Devil's Bridges and the Küchwald Stage, among others.
The Mayor of the City of Chemnitz, Michael Stötzer, the Director of the Municipal Music School, Nancy Gibson, and Thomas Morgenstern, Head of the Chemnitz Monument Protection Authority, will welcome interested guests to the opening event with introductory words.
