Invitation to the concert "Neue Kindersinfonie". The Chemnitz "StreichHölzer", the junior orchestra of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School, under the direction of Andreas Winkler, will take part in the performance (PM 143 from 28/03/2013).

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the opening of the 4th Saxon Puppet Theatre Meeting held in Chemnitz from 2 to 5 May. This year's host is the Chemnitz Puppet Theatre.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig is the patron of this year's 6th charity run "Women run for women". The women's run is organised by the Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Chemnitz together with the Women's Aid Association.
Time and place: 12 to 4 p.m., Zeisigwald, CPSV sports ground.
Opening concert of the Saxon Mozart Festival, which this year has the motto "Elixir of Youth II" and is being held from 4 to 20 May. The Mozart Festival is under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz, who gives the welcoming address and hands over the donation cheque for a concert grand piano for the municipal music school to the director of the music school, Nancy Gibson.
As is tradition, the Mozart Prize will also be awarded at the opening ceremony.

Sunday, 5 May
The city running series traditionally celebrates its opening in Chemnitz: the 10th edition of the running event is under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz. 3,000 runners are expected on the circuit through the city centre. The start and finish is on Brückenstraße.
For every kilometre run by each participant, five cents will be donated to the "Sport im Hort" project sponsored by organiser SportScheck.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig accepts the invitation to the parade to mark the "750 years of Reichenbrand" anniversary. The parade is one of the highlights of the anniversary festival organised under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz.
