The project to commemorate victims of National Socialism continues in Chemnitz with the laying of 18 more Stolpersteine: Günter Demnig, initiator of the campaign, will carry out the laying in the presence of Mayor Philipp Rochold (PM 605 of 18 September 2013).

"Le Grand Macabre" in Chemnitz: Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz and Chemnitz Opera invite you to the opening of the exhibition "Georg Baselitz and John Bock. Le Grand Macabre. Designs" and the subsequent premiere of the opera "Le Grand Macabre" by György Ligeti. Georg Baselitz designed the stage set and John Bock the costumes for the Chemnitz performance. Walter Sutcliffe is responsible for the production and GMD Frank Beermann is the musical director.
