Over a distance of 64 kilometres between Chemnitz and Oberwiesenthal and with a difference in altitude of 1700 metres, the Fichtelberg March must be mastered. The march takes between 12 and 15 hours.

"Reineke Fuchs" - a trickster play based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe has its premiere. The story of the cunning fox, who even becomes a minister, has fascinated children and adults for many centuries. Goethe's fable forms the basis for the production, which Stefan Wey and our puppeteers put on for young and old from Chemnitz Time and place: 4 p.m., puppet theatre in the Schauspielhaus

The first "Rock am Kopp" takes place with DJ SoSoKev and the Berlin rapper Megaloh. He will be presenting his new album "Regenmacher", which was released in March.

The 25th Saxon Mozart Festival comes to a close. Dr Anja Morgenstern from the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg will give a closing lecture and the concert introduction on the topic of "The Mozart family travelling in Saxony".
