The Chemnitz Theatre Prize for Young Dramatists was awarded for the second time on 9 December 2014. The prize went to Jan Peterhanwahr for his play "Destroyed Soul". The premiere of the play takes place today.

The City of Chemnitz, together with the operations manager of the waste disposal and city cleaning company Manfred Wüpper and under the patronage of BM Miko Runkel, is calling on all Chemnitz residents, companies, clubs, schools and daycare centres to take part in the big spring clean "For a clean Chemnitz".
Time and place: 1 p.m., kick-off event at Chemnitz City Hall.
The 11th Trainee & Study Days with around 300 training and study opportunities. Chemnitz City Council will also be presenting its full range of training programmes.

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the 4th Youth Sports Honour for young talents from Chemnitz sports clubs. The patron of the event is speed skater Nico Ihle.
