Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig attends the meeting of the Supervisory Board of Technologie Centrum Chemnitz (TCC).

Together with the Saxon Education Agency/Chemnitz Regional Office, Mayor Barbara Ludwig invites the heads of Chemnitz schools to the annual meeting.

Saturday, 25 May
Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig gives the speech at the Chemnitz pupils' youth consecration ceremony.
Time and place: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Chemnitz City Hall, Small Hall.
The traditional Chemnitz Marathon is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig. The 6th edition of the largest charity run in Saxony is organised by the daily newspaper Freie Presse as a joint project of the Chemnitz Lions Clubs. Runners from Chemnitz's twin towns are also expected to take part this year. Information: www.marathon-chemnitz.de
Time and place: 9 am, start of the event on the Neumarkt at the town hall, the marathon starts here at 10 am.

European Neighbourhood Festival with guests from Chemnitz twin towns in the Sonnenberg district (PM 253 from 15.05.2013).
Time and place: 14:00 to 17:30, Sonnenstraße 35 community centre.
Chemnitz Museum Night 2013: 28 locations invite you to a night-time stroll, including over 60 exhibitions and over 100 unique offers. This year's "special offer" is the CVAG bus depot (Werner-Seelenbinder-Straße) with around 50 exhibitors from Germany and abroad as well as the "Window into Earth History" on Glockenstraße, where the Museum of Natural History is opening a new excavation site for the Museum Night.

Sunday, 26 May
This year's 34th Erzgebirgsrundfahrt is being organised under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz, Barbara Ludwig. The sports event is organised by the Chemnitz Police Sports Club together with partners.
The challenging route covers around 170 kilometres through the Ore Mountains. The start and finish is in the Einsiedel district of Chemnitz, where the award ceremony is scheduled for 14:30. Information: www.radsport-cpsv.de/index.php/erzgebirgsrundfahrt-2013.html
Time and place: 9.30 a.m., start at the Einsiedler Brauhaus - the participants of the tour are expected back here around 2 p.m.
