Mayor Sven Schulze gives the starting signal for the Chemnitz company run 2019. Around 10,000 runners take part in the 4.8-kilometre circuit. Chemnitz City Council is taking part with more than 300 employees.

The Open Monument Day will take place nationwide under the motto "Modern(e): Upheavals in Art and Architecture". This is a link to the anniversary year "100 years of Bauhaus". Chemnitz is home to outstanding New Objectivity buildings, characterised by the influence of the Bauhaus.
