Since Sunday, 17 September, Mayor Michael Stötzer has been visiting Lodz together with Sören Uhle, Managing Director of CWE, on the occasion of the 5th City Partner Conference. The delegation from Chemnitz will be back on Tuesday, 19 September.
"Writing to survive" is the motto of two Iraqi authors who are visiting Chemnitz as part of the intercultural weeks. They are organising a workshop for women writers followed by a reading.

From today until 24 September, Chemnitz is celebrating the 8th Days of Industrial Culture. This year's anniversary "200 years of Louis Ferdinand Schönherr" will be incorporated into the event. The central event will therefore take place in the Schönherrfabrik - a place where Chemnitz industrial history was written.
