Monday, 14 October

Mayor Philipp Rochold attends the opening of the 18th SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences on behalf of the Lord Mayor.

The festival is being held from 14 to 20 October under the patronage of the Mayor of Chemnitz. Information: www.ff-schlingel.de

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the meeting of the Board of the East German Savings Bank Foundation and the subsequent meeting of the Foundation Council.

Tuesday, 15 October

Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in the ground-breaking ceremony for the future Siemens site on Leipziger Strasse.

EU Coordinator Pia Sachs welcomes the participants of the transnational expert meeting to the workshop "The effectiveness of international experience in the integration process" with project partners from Sweden, Spain, Austria and Germany (PM 654 from 4 October 2013).

Head of the Cultural Office Katrin Voigt welcomes the members of the children's jury of the 18th International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences SCHLINGEL at City Hall and attends the "Ehrenschlingel" award ceremony at the festival cinema CineStar in the evening.

Thursday, 17 October

Regular joint consultation of the Chamber of Crafts with the Lord Mayor and the District Councillors of the administrative district.

Time and place: 9 a.m., Chamber of Crafts.

Under the patronage of the Lord Mayor of Chemnitz, the premiere of the three-country choir festival CHOROS will take place in the Stadthalle from 17 to 20 October with over 360 participants from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany (PM 642 from 02.10.2013).

Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig takes part in an information event for employers from the city and region. The topic is the welcoming culture for foreign skilled workers.
