On 12 September, the City of Chemnitz Capital of Culture Office is inviting tourism professionals to the Cultural Tourism Forum at the "eins" youth hostel on Getreidemarkt.
Chemnitz is bidding for the title of European Capital of Culture 2025, and the city's tourism development plays a key role in this. Stakeholders are invited to contribute ideas for the city's tourism development and discuss the following topics, among others:
Which cultural offerings and potentials of our city should be marketed to tourists? What message would Chemnitz like to send out as the Capital of Culture? How can cultural stakeholders support tourism partners to achieve this goal together? Which cultural tourism target groups can be reached with which offers? What specific projects could be used to promote cultural tourism in Chemnitz?
Dr Yvonne Pröbstle, Kulturgold agency from Stuttgart, and the President of European Cities Marketing and Managing Director of Graz Tourismus & Stadtmarketing, MMag. Dieter Hardt-Stretmayr, will contribute content-related impulses.
